Text to a Layer To create text in Flash, select the Text tool, click on the Stage, and start typing. You'll begin by typing the text for the first two phone messages and formatting them. 1. Select frame 88 on the Incoming Text Message layer (in the Text And Battery folder), and press F7 to insert a blank keyframe. 2. Select the Text tool (). 3. Choose Edit > Select All, and then format the text in the Property inspector with the following attributes: Arial, Bold, 16 point text size, 4 point line spacing. 14. Select frame 126 on the Hi layer, and press F7 to insert a blank keyframe. The text appears between frames 108 and 126 in the movie. Copying Text You could create each set of text from scratch, but because the formatting will be the same for the remaining messages, it's easier to copy and paste the text box and then replace the words. 1.
