Choose Modify > Break Apart two more times so that the cloud appears as an editable shape on the Stage. Note When you import a symbol from Illustrator, it may be grouped multiple times. Each time you choose Modify > Break Apart, you separate one group or break apart one object. Using Shape Tweens to Transform an Object You'll use shape tweens to transform the cloud into the O shape. 1. Select frame 140 of the Cloud Morph layer, and press F7 to insert a keyframe. 2. Select frame 141 on the Title: O layer, and then select the O on the Stage. 3. Choose Edit > Copy. Lock the Title: O layer so you don't select it by accident. 4. Select the empty keyframe on frame 140 of the Cloud Morph layer. 5. Choose Edit > Paste In Place. 6. Select the O that you just pasted on the Stage, and choose Modify > Break Apart three times until the fill appears as a shape and the strokes are drawing objects. Click outside the O to deselect it. 7. Select the inner stroke and delete it, and then select the outer stroke and delete it. Only the orange shape should remain. 8. Select any frame on the Cloud Morph layer between frames 137 and 140, and select Shape from the Tween menu in the Property inspector. 9. Select frame 141 on the Cloud Morph layer, and press F7 to insert a blank keyframe. Scrub the Timeline to view the transition from the cloud to the letter O. Fading Objects In In Flash, an object's alpha value determines its transparency or opacity. You'll animate the alpha values for the letters U and T so that they start fully transparent and fade in to become opaque. 1. Select frame 145 of the Title: U layer, and press F6 to insert a keyframe. 2. Select any frame between frames 142 and 145 on the Title: U layer, and then select Motion from the Tween menu in the Property inspector. 3. Select frame 142 in the Title: U layer, and then select the letter U on the Stage. 4. In the Property inspector, select Alpha from the Color menu, and enter 25 for the percentage. 5. Select frame 148 of the Title: T layer, and press F6 to insert a keyframe.
